THIS IS JUST ONE IN A SERIES OF VENDOR SPOTLIGHTS WHERE WE LET THOSE WHO WILL BE SHARING THEIR WARES SHINE A LIGHT ON WHAT IT IS THEY DO. WE ASKED AUDREY FROM HUMBLE HABITATS TO INDULGE US BY ANSWERING A FEW QUESTIONS. HERE'S WHAT SHE HAD TO SAY:

1). What's your name, where are you from and what is it that you make?

Audrey Adam - Akron, OH.

Brick&Stucco.JPG

I create unique scaled down wooden cottages with stone, brick, or stucco facades, shingled roofs and real glass windows. These cottages are perfect for enhancing a miniature garden; building a whole village with live plants for outdoor landscaping; or for displaying in your home.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

For generations my family has had the artistic gene. A great-great uncle carved museum quality pieces in Germany. A second generation cousin was an artist. Artists, woodcarvers and miniaturists are among my family members today. For years, I have created miniature landscapes featuring my cottages and bird houses.

3). What is your best seller?

Both my cottages and birdhouses sell equally well.

4). How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?

This is my first Crafty Mart. I have been selling directly on my own for years and now feel that vending will greatly increase my exposure.

5). The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

Papa was a rolling stone wherever he laid his hat was his home. I don’t like beetles they invade my home.

Thanks, Audrey! Look for Humble Habitats at the next CRafty Mart Event!
