Introducing Crafty Mart's new Administrative Intern, Brooke Breckenridge!
Hello! My name is Brooke Breckenridge and I’m brand new to the Akron Area! I recently graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelors of Art in Arts Administration, and am now studying at the University of Akron to get my Masters of Art in Arts Administration.
I am super excited to be involved with Crafty Mart as an intern for this year and integrate myself into the Akron arts scene! I’m a visual artist myself, a lover of art, and a collector of all things vintage and crafty.
Over the past two years I’ve worked as an intern and collections technician for Applewood: The Charles Stewart Mott Estate with the Ruth Mott Foundation up in Flint, Michigan. Through my experience there, as well as others throughout my undergraduate program I developed an understanding for just how much the arts can impact a community, and I fell in love with that impact!
I’m a Michigan native, and a lover of the Great Lakes State. I grew up on a small lake and adore being on the water. I especially get a thrill out of water sports like water-skiing and knee-boarding. I’m a dog mom to a little pup named Meelo who is my pride and joy in life, but of my other favorite things include art of course, ice cream, searching for treasures at vintage stores or estate sales, and guacamole. I can’t wait to fall more in love with Northeast Ohio and experience all that Crafty Mart has to offer!
You can look for Brooke at the 8th Annual Crafty Mart! We're so excited to have her talent on our team!
