Here we are--getting ready for the annual Spring Show, the Mom & Pop Shoppe. We're eager to bring you a series of profiles to introduce you to a few of our makers coming to the Mom & Pop Shoppe on Saturday, April 2nd, 2016.  This is just one in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do.  The following profile is Elisabeth and Shaun from Champaign Paper and their responses to a mini-questionnaire.

1). What's your name and what is it that you make?

We are Elisabeth and Shaun. The name of our business is Champaign Paper and we make an assortment of paper goods: greeting cards, art prints, boxed cards, & stationery.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

Elisabeth has been drawing ever since she was a little girl. Shaun has always aspired to own his own business. Together, we wanted to chase our dreams and also work from home to be with our little ones.

This has been quite a learning experience and we both have discovered how to operate a business and have developed our skills along the way. Elisabeth is able to create art using a variety of media and Shaun is self-taught in graphic design.

3).  What is your best seller?

Our boxed 'thank you' cards on our Etsy shop are very popular while our greeting cards are our best sellers in the stores we are in.

4).  How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?

We've been vending since June of 2015. We have only vended at one Crafty Mart show so far. Hopefully more to come in the future!

5).  Chocolate or peanut butter?

Chocolate for Elisabeth and peanut butter for Shaun :)

Thank you for answering our questions Elisabeth and Shaun! And, thanks for coming to the Mom & Pop Shoppe. We'll see everyone on Sat. April 2nd from 10am-4pm at the Akron Art Museum, Summit Artspace, and Akron Main Library.  You'll be able to find Champaign Paper at Akron Art Museum.
