We're excited to bring you a series of profiles to introduce you to a few of our artisans! This is just one in a series of Vendor Spotlights in which we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do.  The following profile is Krystle and Erika of Klink Creatively and their response to a mini-questionnaire.

1. What is your name and what is it that you make?

We are Krystle and Erika, sisters who create terrariums and planters for succulents, air plants and flowers.

2. How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

We have been makers of things from a very young age. From painting ceramics and making friendship bracelets to creating yearly Christmas ornaments for our family, we were always busy doing something. More formally, Krystle studied Visual Communication Design at Kent State and Erika studied Interior Architecture at the Cleveland Institute of Art with a minor in Fibers.

Our creative sides sort of naturally merged with our family’s history in the horticultural industry. Our grandpa started his own business in the 1960s building greenhouses all across Ohio and surrounding states. Our dad continues that tradition today.

3. What is your best seller?

We have found that different shows have different best sellers. It’s always been interesting to us to see what item people respond to most. Overall though, we would say that the very first planter we made, our dinosaur planters, have been our best and most consistent seller. They have been so popular we have had trouble finding dinosaurs recently and haven’t carried the planters in about a year!

4. How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?

Our very first show was Oddmall in 2012. Our first Crafty Mart was a few months after that and we have been lucky enough to continue participating ever since.

5. The Beatles or The Rolling Stones?

We grew up with our dad playing The Beatles on a regular basis as well as the solo albums of John Lennon and Paul McCartney, so The Beatles all the way!

Thank you for answering our questions, Krystle and Erika.
