We've never taken Crafty Mart to Canton before. Actually, we've never taken our show on the road anywhere before. That's just one reason we're so excited for our pop up market at the Canton Museum of Art this Friday, July 3rd, from 4-8 pm. Here are some other things we've put together for this special event:

1. Discover Canton and win prizes.

To celebrate the “shop local” spirit of Crafty Mart’s premiere in the area, the Canton Arts District has come together with a fun project to enhance the public’s experience downtown for the week of June 26 – July 3.

Visit a participating venue (Check out the list here!) starting now and receive a Canton Arts District Passport and your first card punch. During the next week, collect four card punches and bring your passport to Crafty Mart on Friday between 4-8 pm and you will receive raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes from participating Crafty Mart vendors, movie tickets from the Canton Palace Theatre, or a one-year family membership to the Canton Museum of Art!

2. Meet our fabulous vendors!

For this special event, we went out of our way to seek out talented vendors from Stark county and are bringing some of our old favorites to town to show off.

Have you been following our vendor spotlight posts on Facebook and Instagram?

Vendors include:

3. Make a free gift box for the treasures you find.

We here at Crafty Mart are DIY-ers, obviously, and we love to share that spirit with our shoppers. That's why we were so excited that the Canton Museum of Art is offering a free Make and Take project during the event!

Wrap your unique handmade gifts from Crafty Mart with your own thoughtful handmade gift boxes using simple paper design.

Love is in the details… Simple, personal, and thoughtful!

4. Grab a drink and mingle!

Crafty Mart prides itself as more than just a place to do your shopping-- it's a community event! There will be a cash bar available, so grab a drink, settle in, and get lost in a good conversation!

5. Check out First Friday.

If you've never made it out for a First Friday, this is the perfect opportunity! First Friday is a year-round monthly party in the downtown Canton Arts District featuring themed music, performance and visual arts events and always a few surprises. It's a self-guided self-paced tour of local art galleries, studios, stores and restaurants, and the Canton Museum of Art is where the party starts!

Besides Crafty Mart, July 3's First Friday is also featuring Chalk the Walk. 16 chalk artists will cover the arts district with original drawings. Make sure to tour around the district to see all of them! There will be a freestyle chalk area set up on 4th street. Pick up a piece and get to it!

Have we convinced you to come out yet? We'll be all set up at the Canton Museum of Art from 4-8 pm on Friday, July 3rd. Click here to RSVP to our Facebook event and invite your friends. See you there!
