We have less than ONE WEEK before our event, and we hope everyone is as excited as we are.  Please let me introduce you to another of our many makers coming to The Mom & Pop Shoppe on Saturday, April 25th.  This is another in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do.  The following profile is Liza from Liza Michelle Jewelry and her response to a mini-questionnaire.

1). What's your name and what is it that you make?

Hi! I’m Liza Michelle, the ladysmith and designer behind Liza Michelle Jewelry.  I create thoughtfully crafted jewelry inspired by the world around us.  Utilizing recycled metals, responsibly sourced precious stones and sustainable studio practices, every piece is handcrafted with care and attention to detail.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

I attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, graduating in 2010 with a BFA in Jewelry and Metals.

3). What is your best seller?

The current best seller is definitely a tie between the Fulton Necklace and the Whitman Bracelet.  Both feature one of a kind, real cast twigs in solid sterling silver.

4).  How long have you been vending? Have you done the Mom& Pop Shoppe before?

I have been vending for almost six years! One of Brit’s own shows, Rowdy Indie Craft Fair was one of the first few shows I did, and I have been participating in Crafty Mart ever since!

5)  The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?

That’s a tough one, I’d have to say The Rolling Stones, but the Beatles have a special place in my heart too.

Many thanks to Liza for answering our questions and coming to Crafty Mart's Mom & Pop Shoppe.  We'll see everyone on Saturday, April 25th, from 10am-5pm at Musica, Akron Art Museum, and Summit Artspace.  You'll be able to locate Liza Michelle Jewelry at the Akron Art Museum.
