Please join us for an all-new Crafty Mart show, The Mom & Pop Shoppe, on Saturday, April 25, 10am-5pm. For the first time, the 6th annual spring marketplace will expand to include ninety vendors across three venues in downtown Akron. The three locations are Musica (51 E. market St.), the Akron Art Museum (1 S. High St.), and Summit Artspace (140 E. Market St.)  The show's title, The Mom & Pop Shoppe, is meant to reflect spring time shopping opportunities for goods and gifts including Mother's Day, Father's Day, graduation, and home and garden decor.  Food and coffee will be for sale inside Musica and the Art Museum on the day. As always, admission is free.

In addition to hosting the best of the Rubber City's arts and crafters, Crafty Mart, on Sat. April 25th, is hosting four workshop opportunities.  The workshops are led by skilled local artisans offering valuable instruction to the public.  Classes include instruction in weaving, brewing kombucha, making sugar scrubs, and customizing terrariums.  Reservations are required and the classes are filling fast.  Click HERE for more information and reservations.

Free parking is available on the street as well as the library parking deck.

Also new this year, Crafty Mart is throwing a Preview Gala on Friday, April 24th, 5-8pm at Summit Artspace (the night before the marketplace event.)  This ticket fundraiser event welcomes vendors and the public to socialize while enjoying hors d'oeurves, drinks, and a chinese auction.  Drinks include Norka soda, Thirsty Dog beer, and cocktails.  Appetizers will be provided by Nuevo Modern Mexican.  For information and to purchase tickets, click HERE.

Crafty Mart Inc. now operates as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, providing creative and engaging opportunities for artists and community members to foster artistic, thoughtful, and community-focused lifestyles.  Your participation as a shopper, vendor, workshopper, and financial supporter allows us to continue to offer educational opportunities as well as artist/small business economic development here in Akron.  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday, April 25th.
