We're excited to bring you another in a series of profiles to introduce you to a few of our artisans coming to the 7th Annual Crafty Mart Holiday Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 28th-29th. This is just one in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do. The following profile is Tori from Little Birdie Design Studio and her response to a mini-questionnaire.
1). What's your name and what is it that you make?
My name is Tori Tedesco and I am the Owner and Designer of Little Birdie Design Studio. I make hand knit, custom design knit wear for people and their homes.
2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?
I needed to find a creative outlet to help me de-stress from my full time job as a graphic designer and photographer and was looking for something that was relaxing. That’s when I decided to take a knitting class… people always say knitting is relaxing! After taking a class I started just figuring things out on my own. I wanted to create unique pieces for friends and family but never really like the patterns that were out there. That’s what inspired me to design my own patterns and look at knitting in a different perspective. Now I am focused on creating pieces that are not only functional but fashionable for the everyday person on the go.
3). What is your best seller?
My best seller is the Chunky Oversized Tall Cowl! It was my first design I created when I launched Little Birdie Design Studio and it as been my top seller every year.
"It is the perfect accessory to keep you warm this fall and winter! It is knitted with multiple strands of chunky weight yarn making it extra warm. Wear this chunky cowl with your favorite pair of jeans and boots or add it as an accessory to your jacket. Can also wear as a snood."
4). How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?
I have been vending for 5 years now and this will make my 4th Crafty Mart!
5). Coffee or tea?
