We're excited to bring you another in a series of profiles to introduce you to a few of our artisans coming to the 7th Annual Crafty Mart Holiday Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 28th-29th.  This is just one in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do.  The following profile is Kim from Tindercraft Ceramics and her response to a mini-questionnaire.

1). What's your name and what is it that you make?

My name is Kim Eggleston-Kraus of Tindercraft Ceramics and I make clay/ceramic things. Some are functional, like mugs and bowls, some are artworks, and some are just fun decorative objects.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

I had a class in college, but I really had to step up my game when I was asked to teach a college ceramics course  at the last minute, at a campus where I was already teaching, because the regular instructors weren't available. That was about 14 years ago, and I am still teaching that course. I guess I did alright.

3).  What is your best seller?

That depends on the time of year, but usually during the holidays it is the little owl ornaments that I made.

4).  How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?

I did my first vend ever at Crafty Mart, the first one I think. I have been doing markets for about 6 years.

Thank you for answering our questions Kim. And, thanks for coming to the 7th Annual Crafty Mart Holiday Show. We'll see everyone on Sat. & Sun. Nov. 28th-29th at Musica, Akron Art Museum, and Summit Artspace.  You'll be able to find Tindercraft Ceramics at the Akron Art Museum.
