We're excited to bring you another in our Vendor Spotlight series and introduce you to a few of our artisans coming to the 7th Annual Crafty Mart Holiday Show on Saturday and Sunday, November 28th-29th.  This is just one in a series of Vendor Spotlights where we let those who will be sharing their wares shine a light on what it is they do.  The following profile is Jennifer from Jennifer L Worden Arts and her response to a mini-questionnaire.

1). What's your name and what is it that you make?

My name is Jennifer Worden and I make art, decorative items and jewelry using recycled glass that I torch-work and kiln-fire into new shapes. I use bottles, old dishware and any other discarded glass that I can get my hands on.

2). How did you acquire the unique skill set to do what it is you do?

I've always had a love for glass. After making stained-glass mosaics for several years I wanted to see how I could manipulate the medium. I taught myself torch-working and kiln-firing from library books and lots of trial and error. I started by using commercial glass and quickly switched over to recycled glass. I enjoy transforming the discarded material and giving it a new life. It's an on going process and even six years later, I still experiment and learn from my successes and failures.

3).  What is your best seller?

My recycled glass trees. They appeal to people who like modern, rustic and funky decor items and also to a wide range of age groups.

4).  How long have you been vending? Have you done a Crafty Mart show before?

I've been vending for 5 years and have participated in several Crafty Mart shows.

Definitely coffee
